Loading Feis-Out...
Everything a school needs to run a competitive Irish dancing event — entries, judging, results, and payments — in one place. Here's what actually goes into hosting one.

Every Feis, from a single-afternoon local event to a multi-day championship, goes through the same steps. You control the pace — a Feis can sit as a private draft for weeks while you set it up, and only goes public when you publish it.
Create your school and publish a public profile — bio, logo, cover image, and your teaching location(s). A dance school with no dancers or classes on it yet can still create and publish a Feis; the two aren't gated on each other.
Set the venue, date(s), entry fee, capacity, and policies (parking, photography, refunds), and publish it publicly or as an unlisted, link-only page. Set a dancer cap and entries past it join a waitlist automatically — freed spots go to the next family in line, and two schools entering at once can never overbook it. Choose Publish immediately once you're ready for entries, or Save as draft while you build out Sections and invite Judges/Announcers privately first.
A Section (e.g. "Under 12 Reel") is a competition category — dancers from every entered school compete in it together and are placed as one group. Add as many as your Feis needs, each with its own style, level, shoe type, and age group.
Judges are invited by email per Feis, not tied to any one school. Once invited, assign 2-3 to each Section's panel — a conflict-of-interest flag warns you if a candidate judge also organises, dances, or guardians a dancer at one of the competing schools.
An announcer is invited the same way as a judge, and is who actually publishes each Section's results once every judge on its panel has scored — you don't have to run the mic yourself, and you can watch scores come in on the panel view either way.
Check dancers in per Section on the day — even offline, on venue wifi, nothing is lost. Entry fees can be invoiced and paid online (card, via Stripe) or reconciled from a bank statement afterward. Results, printable itineraries, and CSV/PDF exports are all generated for you.
Creating a school and hosting a Feis costs nothing to set up — there's no subscription or per-event fee to get started. See the full breakdown on Pricing.
Your Feis isn't limited to dancers from your own school — any school on the platform can enter dancers into your Sections.
Judges score against a fixed rubric on a rapid scoresheet built for spotty podium-side wifi — placements are computed the moment every judge on a panel has submitted.
A dancer who wins their way past their level's threshold is moved up automatically the moment your Section is announced — no separate admin step.
Entry fees can be invoiced and paid online by card, or reconciled from your bank statement — with receipts, reminders, and a printable/exportable record of it all.
Plans change — a Feis can be cancelled (and reinstated) without deleting anything already entered, and next year's event can be created by duplicating this one.
Sell spectator tickets with a door check, post volunteer shifts and manage sign-ups, and add a YouTube link so family who can't make it can still watch — all optional, all on the same event page. Set a stream to Unlisted on YouTube for a more private broadcast.
Link rounds into a combined Championship result with trophy tracking, publish a recall between rounds, and run more than one stage at once — each with its own running order and start times.
Running a training session, a judging workshop, a fitness class, a boot camp, a master class, or a fundraiser doesn't need a full competition set up to take bookings for it. Bookable Activities do the same guest-checkout booking (free or paid, in person or online, with an automatic waitlist once full) without any of the Sections/judging machinery above — set one up from Activities in your dashboard. The venue address or online join link is only ever sent to someone once their booking is confirmed, never shown publicly.
A full example Feis — two competition days, 360 dancers, solos through Open Championship, céilí teams, a combined Championship result, a published timetable and syllabus, and a live results scoreboard — all sample data, nobody needs to sign up to look around.
